Abstract:
This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the use of the worksheets in teaching Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao among Grade 5 learners of Urzadan Elementary School during the third quarter, School Year 2020-2021. A teacher made test was used in determining the performance of the Grade 5 learners of Urzadan Elementary School. The mean is employed to compare the scores of the learners’ performances. The researcher found out that the learners needed to improve their performance in Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao through the results of their written tasks and performance tasks. When the problem was recognized, the researcher provided 60-item teacher made test containing the learning competencies on how to take care the environment. The mean of the learners’ pretest was 30.571 with a descriptive rating of Satisfactory while the posttest was very satisfactory with a mean of 39.714. There is a mean difference of 9.143. The computed t-value was 3.482 with a t-prob of .001, this means that there is a significant difference existed between scores of the Grade 5 learners during the pretest and posttest. This implies that the Worksheets on how to take care the environment is effective in improving the performance of the learners. \r\n The researchers recommend that teachers should use Worksheets in improving the performance of the learners and it should be properly guided and administered by the teacher to gain higher achievement.
