Abstract:
There are various challenges that basic education in the Department of Education is facing as can be demonstrated in the rapid transformation of the educational system in the Philippines. Education has gone global therefore it posts challenges to schools to go global. The study utilized localized video lessons in improving the conceptual understanding of grade 10 students on electromagnetism of Narvacan National Central High School for the school year 2019-2020. It utilized the simple experimental research design specifically the true experimental design. This will involve two sections of Grade 10 students of Narvacan National Central High School which were selected using random sampling technique. Significant findings showed that the mean pre-test scores of the respondents is 10.06, while the mean post-test scores of the respondents is 22.50. Likewise, there was a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores with a computed t-test result of 10.771 at .05 level of significance. In conclusion, a localized video lessons are effective in increasing the scores of learners in Grade 10 science.
