Abstract:
All schools both public and private are encountering decline on the academicrnperformance among students because of many factors. One of the cited and commonrnreason is the contemporary type of teaching in delivering the lesson inside thernclassroom. Another is the inability of teachers to apply innovative strategies inrnteaching. Thus, the researcher was prompted to integrate teacher-composed songsrnin teaching Araling Panlipunan to enhance the concept assimilation ability of studentsrnthat would surely increase the level of performance of students. The intervention isrnthe answer to the problems besetting the performance of students. Data gatheredrnfrom the results of pretest-posttest were used as instrument. Analysis of datarnremarkably resulted to effectiveness of the teacher-composed songs in presentingrnthe lesson. Coupled with the study are scores of students who took pretest with thernaverage mean of 8.00 for the experimental group and 9.09 for the control group. Onrnother hand, for posttest mean result is 17.47 for experimental and 17.03 for therncontrol group were obvious respectively. Analyzed scores showed betterrnperformance of students after intervention. Thus, it is highly recommendedrnintervention be adopted and applied in teaching lessons in Araling Panlipunan.
