They need to be appropriate representations to manifest a noble personality worthy of emulation by learners. The descriptive-correlation study determined the relationship between the extent of work ethics and level of performance of teachers in public elementary/secondary with integrated schools of Tagudin District, Schools Division of Ilocos Sur for the school year 2019-2020. It involved public school teachers who had at least five years of experience, utilizing a questionnaire adopted from the Code of Professional Conduct for Teachers by Griofa & Ruairc (2014). Findings showed that the respondents rated their work ethics to a “Very Great Extent.” Most of the respondents have also performed “Outstanding,” in terms of their Individual Performance Commitment Review Form (IPCRF) ratings. In addition, it was found out that there is a significant relationship between the position, education and teaching experience of the respondents to their work ethics. From the findings, the study recommends the adoption/use of the long-term work ethics program that would improve the ethico-moral responsibilities of the teachers and the improvement of the skills and competencies of teachers amidst the global pandemic caused by COVID-19 disease and it recommends that engagement with public-school teachers will be implemented that tackles their weakness in identified areas.
