Abstract:
SBM provides schools’ greater autonomy with the goal of enhancing the quality of educational implementation so it may produce successes through a well-established management procedure. The goal of school-based management is to increase educational quality by utilizing resources in a self-sufficient and flexible manner. Curriculum and instructional program, teaching staff management, student, financial and funding, and educational resources were a few of the components of school-based management. School-based management approaches in Schools Division of Ilocos Sur was explored. To assess the respondents\' current position, the researchers used a descriptive survey method. Similarly, the study relied on reports by public schools in Schools Division for data collecting. A questionnaire was also used to collect data. Sixty-two (62) secondary school principals from the Ilocos Sur Schools Division responded. Secondary school heads in the Division of Ilocos Sur, as well as leadership and governance, were found to be properly equipped, competent, efficient, and effective, and were kept up to date on the Department of Education\'s numerous trainings.Similarly, secondary school principals believed that learners should be provided with complete instructional tools. School administrators were also in charge of formingsupreme government councilsand teachers\' associations, with constitutions and by-laws for pertinent delivery of quality education. Expenses were linked to the SIP/AIP. School heads oversaw liquidating well-supported papers. In addition, the research yielded a 3.74 total grade, which is regarded good. Secondary school heads, as well as leadership and governance in the division, were found to be fully equipped/developed, competentand capable.
