Abstract:
Stakeholders’ engagement is essential in the successful delivery of learning and development services for the schools. This study was carried out to find out the current level of engagement of stakeholders in the Adopt-A-School Program of the Department of Education (DepEd) particularly the public secondary schools of the First Congressional District of the Schools Division of Ilocos Sur. The descriptive-survey method of research was used. The respondents were the five (5) stakeholders from each of the 24 secondary schools. The findings of the study were that most of the stakeholders are neutral on the project and its outcomes. In addition, the stakeholders have contradictory attitudes or feelings towards the different programs and projects and its outcomes. It also revealed that no significant relationships were established between the demographic profile of the stakeholders and their current engagement level. It is therefore recommended the need to strengthen the partnerships and linkages of the schools and communities to deliver the programs, projects and activities that would transcend better learning outcomes.
