Abstract:
Parents play a vital role in the improvement of the academic achievement of their children. This study aimed to analyze the parental involvement on the academic achievement of Grade 10 students of Solotsolot National High School for the School Year 2016 – 2017. Moreover, it utilized the descriptive and correlational research design and administered the sets of questionnaires to 48 grade 10 students. Consequently, it employed the frequency counts, percentage distribution, mean, Pearson Product Moment of Correlation, and regression analysis for data analysis. Thus, it discovered that the involvement–related profile of the respondents significantly influenced the level of parent involvement for a child\'s achievement. Likewise, the academic achievement significantly related with the type of respondents and the number of children in the family. It therefore recommended that the school should always find ways on how to overcome hindrances and make constant communication to achieve greater involvement of parents and to improve academic achievement of the child.
