Abstract:
Handling physics classes is a concern of teachers to ensure that optimum learning takes place in the new normal of education. In making Physics essential to the students in distance learning, the researcher thought of using Flexible learning through DepEd Commons Contextualized Activity Sheets. The objective of this study is to determine the effect of Flexible learning through DepEd Commons Contextualized Activity Sheets on the conceptual understanding of impulse and momentum among the Grade 9 students of San Juan National High School for the school year 2020-2021. The study used the quasi - experimental research design and a 30-item test which has undergone content validation and item analysis. Mean, standard deviation, gain ratio and t-test used were used for analysis. It found out that Flexible learning through DepEd Commons Contextualized Activity Sheets improved the level of understanding of the students in learning the concepts of impulse and momentum, contrariwise higher than the using pure modular instruction. The technique used is effective in motivating students’ understanding on impulse and momentum. The researcher recommends the utilization and continuous crafting of DepEd Commons Contextualized Activity Sheets as the output of this study.
