Abstract:
The onslaught of the Pandemic and the impositions of quarantines have altered the lifestyles of people all around the world. Education is not exempted. Shifts to online classes introduced most of the students to the value and importance of internet connection and the use of mobile phones, computers, and digital gadgets. Applications abound to take advantage of the misery of mental and physical displacement. Tiktok is one of the unforeseen flowers in this dark times of the Pandemic and Post-Pandemic dates. It is a mobile app that took hold of children’s imagination, learners’ time, and wishful effort. It trends the world of the youth in expressing themselves digitally and influencing their creativity and activity. Thus, this research.\r\n Diverting the mobile App to the benefit of the teaching-learning process in teaching MAPEH at the Bonuan Buquig National High School, it yielded positive results on developing all stated Basketball skills of Grade 8 students. Five-point Likert Scale was used in determining the perceived levels of physical fitness of learners in terms of shooting, passing, blocking, and dribbling. Frequency Counts and percentages were used in the profile of the learners. T-test was also used in determining the significant relationship between levels of basketball skills prior and after the intervention of Tiktok. All were positively concluded for duplication and further studies. Tiktok is a good alternative in helping develop basketball skills of learners. This digital approach to the learning process is in consonance with the Aristotelico-Thomistic philosophy on Education that nothing is learned but through the senses. MAPEH teachers and learners can fully benefit from this Online App Tiktok.
