Abstract:
This study specifically aimed to bridge the reading comprehension gap in second language acquisition of Grade 12 General Academic Strand Section A learners through translanguaging at Teodoro Hernaez National High School during the School Year 2022–2023. Additionally, data was gathered using a validated questionnaire developed by the researcher. Furthermore, mean and t-test were used to evaluate the data. According to the study\'s findings, the learners who utilized the translanguaging strategy performed better in reading comprehension in second language acquisition. Likewise, the calculated t-value showed significant difference in the learners\' level of reading comprehension skills before and after the intervention. Therefore, using translanguaging in improving the reading comprehension skills of the General Academic Strand learners is efficient.
